Today, when you think of cinematic superheroes, you think Iron Man, Batman, Black Panther, Super Man, Thor, and many more. But, why are all of these movies only appropriate for adults?

Lettuce face it, salads are really just an excuse to eat dressing. Am I right?
With all of the lettuce contamination outbreaks in the past 10 years and heck just the past 6 months with two romaine outbreaks, (let’s not forget the spinach one a few years ago too!) I’m literally scared for myself and everyone to eat this stuff raw. Doesn’t a cooked lettuce salad sound delish?
Washing lettuce won’t kill e.coli and salmonella. It has to be cooked. Like to 140-160 degrees. And who doesn’t love a cooked lettuce salad? Mmmm! No.
Since it sounds like we have a better chance at not eating raw contaminated other vegetables like the other vegetables we put on top of the lettuce (carrots, cukes, etc) maybe just exclude the lettuce? But then it feels like something is missing...
So, try my new obsession...

I mention the Calm app in my last post "New eye glasses, pillow, and mattress" which is part of my "Why the headaches?" series.
I heard about the Calm app and installed it from the iOS store on my iPhone. I just did the trial for a month or so before purchasing a 1 years subscription. The free trial came with only 4 "sleep stories". What is a sleep story? Think of it like a mommy reading her toddler a bedtime story. Only, I was the toddler, and the mommy was some stranger reading me a story to help me fall asleep. Sleep is so important, so I knew I needed a non-medicine way to help me fall asleep.

This is part 2 to my "Why the headaches?" post here. After getting a new office chair, which was life-changing by the way, I also started wearing glasses at my computer for work, bought a new pillow, and a new bed mattress.
After I figured out the whole pillow thing and was sitting in my new throne at my desk, I was still getting headaches. This time for a different reason. I was stumped. After having many conversations with friends and family, my own sister told me
she began to wear glasses while working at her computer. The weird thing was that she had Lasik only a year before, so I was surprised that she needed computer glasses. I actually own glasses that were...

Sleep is important. Like, really, really important. Sleep is a major part of living a healthy lifestyle. So when I wasn't sleeping well, I felt it, bad. Lately, I have been suffering from aches and pains. I am only 35, so I felt like this was way too soon to feel this way. It all started the last week in September 2017. The headaches started. I usually only have heads leading up to "that time of the month" and a couple of days during that time, so that "time" was nearly over and these headaches were uncharacteristic. What was wrong with me?

Today marks a very important day. Today is Monday, August 1, 2016 and it is the first day of my HubSpot Sabbatical. Beginning today, and for the next four weeks, I plan to take advantage of this company perk, this gift, this freedom, to do many things that I always wished I had more time to do. And I will toss in there some things I just want to do.

I bring 3-4 reuseable bags when I go grocery shopping. Good for the environment, right? Bad for me. These baggers apparently think it is more efficient to fill like 2 bags to capacity, then hand me an empty bag, as if they won tetris or completed a jig-saw puzzle, and don't need my other bag(s). I gave you enough bags to disperse all my goods. I want you to use them all so one bag isn't so damn heavy! Duh!!!
I stopped drinking soda and other carbonated drinks a long time ago. Not for the typical health reasons. If I was concerned with my weight I would be stupid and drink "Diet Soda" (which I will get into later).
Philip Morris makes and sells cigarettes. In other words, they kill people and cause cancer. On purpose. Intentionally. Yet for some reason they also invest lots of their own company money in programs to help people quit smoking. Wait, they do what....? Yeah. They do.
Okay, I will start off by saying I realize this is a very controversial topic, but I will keep it short and sweet and focus a different perspective most do not consider. Also, when I say 'homeless' I literally mean 'living on the street not inside an actual house/apartment'. Sleeping on a friend's or family member's couch in a warm home or apartment with electricity, running water and meals at a dining table is not homeless. I am talking only personal possessions include a garbage bag full of junk and pushing a shopping cart and sleeping in an alley on the ground in 12 degrees outside in the middle of winter. That, is homeless.
